Khenchen Konchog Gyaltsen is the Grand Abbott of the Drikung Kagyu Lineage of Tibetan Buddhism. He has authored and translated many books including The Complete Guide to the Buddhist Path, The Jewel Ornament of Liberation and the Great Kagyu Masters.
Khenchen is responsible for numerous monasteries in India and Nepal, where he oversees the education and discipline of hundreds of monks and nuns. He also founded the Tibetan Meditation Center (Frederick, Md), along with dozens of sister-centers around the United States.
He composed Permissions and Prohibitions as a brief teaching which encompasses the entire Buddhist path - from the three trainings to Mahamudra and Buddhahood.
